I am very simple when it comes to makeup, for one because my husband HATES it when I wear makeup and two nobody has time to put on a whole face every day… at least I don’t! 😉
The first thing I do every morning and night is wash my face. In the evening I use face wash to get rid of all my makeup and in the morning I just use warm water. I only use water in the morning to prevent over drying my skin. In middle school I started drying out my face with tons of face washes and oil free creams, to the point that my skin reacted by producing tons of oil. This then lead to acne, more aggressive face washes and the cycle just continued. Until finally I realized that my problem wasn’t that I had oily skin, but instead that I had extremely dry skin and I needed to moisturize it. Hallelujah! My skin problem was resolved! (more…)62
