The girl behind the blog

Welcome!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by and checking out A pinch of Austria! This blog originally started off as a way for me to document our newlywed adventures, share our life with family and friends, to now a little blogging hobby to keep me busy while hubby is away.

So here is a little bit about us:

Ari and I are college sweethearts and met at Washington & Jefferson College (W&J) back in 2010. We started off as friends and blossomed into.. well newlyweds πŸ˜‰ We survived the whole long distant thing, while I was away at Physician Assistant school in the middle of nowhere PA, and got engaged right after Christmas in 2015. A few short months later we tied the knot September 3rd, 2016. During our engagement, I graduated from PA school, we both accepted jobs down south and moved to Charlotte. (more…)

What’s cookin’ Wednesday: Quinoa Salad

What’s cookin’ Wednesday: Quinoa Salad

Hey guys! So I decided to start writing a blog post each week of recipes we try and our go to favorites. This will force us to come up with a new twist each week, as well as give me a virtual recipe book that I can reference in the future. I will also include some traditional Austrian dishes!

This weeks recipe: Quinoa Salad

This is basically my go to every day of the week lunch. It is very easy to make and in my opinion super yummy!

All you need is:
Bag of frozen peas
Onion (I typically use sweet onion)
Cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes, Avocados, carrots, celery, and any veggie you like!
1 cup Quinoa (more…)
